Description
Setlist Pro — User Guide
Setlist Pro is designed for grandMA3 version 2.4.2.2. Always save a backup of your showfile before first use.
Before You Begin
Each song requires:
- A named song-trigger Macro.
- A Sequence with exactly the same name.
- A unique name that is not used by another Macro or Sequence.
For example, Macro Nineteen must have a matching Sequence named Nineteen.
Installation
- Unzip the download.
- Keep
Song_Setlist_Builder.xmlandSong_Setlist_Builder.luatogether without renaming them. - Copy both files into:
grandMA3/gma3_library/datapools/plugins/ - Open a Plugins pool in grandMA3.
- Create or edit an empty Plugin object and select Import.
- Import
Song_Setlist_Builder.xml. - Tap the imported Plugin to open Setlist Pro.
First-Time Setup
- Open Setlist Pro and tap the gear icon.
- Enter the first and last Macro numbers containing your songs.
- Tap SETUP.
- Review the summary and confirm.
SETUP checks every named Macro in the selected range and finds its same-named Sequence. It then creates a missing Cue 999 Part 0 and labels it SONG_CHANGE.
If Cue 999 already exists with a different or blank label, SETUP stops without changing anything. Inspect that cue manually before continuing.
Building a Setlist
- Use the Search box to quickly find a song.
- Tap a song on the left to add it to the setlist.
- Tap a song in the setlist to select it.
- Use Up or Down to change its position.
- Use Remove to remove one song, or Clear to empty the draft.
- Tap Confirm & Write Setlist.
- Review the summary and select Write Setlist.
Nothing in your showfile is changed while arranging the draft.
What Gets Written
Setlist Pro writes a command into Cue 999 Part 0 of each selected song Sequence:
Go+ Macro "Next Song Name"
Macros are always called by name, never by pool number. The final song’s command is cleared so the setlist ends safely.
Important Notes
- The plugin works in the currently selected DataPool.
- Changing the Macro range removes out-of-range songs from the draft.
- Closing and reopening the window remembers the draft while the plugin remains loaded.
- Restarting grandMA3, reloading the UI or reopening the show may clear an unconfirmed draft.
- Writing a new setlist only updates songs included in that setlist. Unused songs may retain commands from an older setlist.
- Test the finished setlist before using it during a live show.
Quick Troubleshooting
A song is missing: Check that its Macro is named, inside the selected range and in the current DataPool.
SETUP cannot continue: Confirm that a uniquely named Sequence exists with exactly the same name as the Macro.
Cue 999 conflict: Inspect the existing cue. Setlist Pro will never overwrite a differently labelled Cue 999 automatically.
The setlist will not write: Run SETUP again and check the warning for missing, duplicate or incorrectly labelled objects.
