Lock your grandMA3 the moment you step away.

KeyLink puts a real lock screen on your grandMA3. Press one key and a password box takes over the desk, the executor keys light up red, and with Black screen on every screen goes dark. Only your Main or Backup password opens it again. Need someone to run the show while you are away? Type guest and they get Playback rights only: they can play your cues but cannot touch the patch, the settings or your stored content. Add a USB stick as a physical key if you like. Everything runs inside grandMA3: no extra software.

The lock screen

One password box takes over the desk, and it stays locked until the right password is typed. The same box also lets a guest in (type guest) or saves your show and opens an empty one for someone else (type new show).

Install in three short steps

Run the plugin and press Install. Enter the setup code 1234 (it only works while the system is not installed), choose who owns the system, then set your Main and Backup passwords. New in 1.2.8: the owner can be your current user, or a new user that is created with Admin rights and logged in for you.

A safe guest mode

Install creates a limited guest account with Playback rights only. A guest operator can play the show you programmed, but cannot change the settings, the patch or your stored content, and cannot install, uninstall or open Settings. A locked watch sequence checks the plugin every 2 seconds: if a guest tries Off Plugin or Off Sequence, the lock screen comes straight back.

Four lock effects

While the desk is locked, the executor keys light up so everybody can see it from across the room: solid red, a red blink wave, an RGB color flow or a full ALARM where every key flashes at once. Add a full black screen on top if you like.

Your USB stick is the key

Optional. Turn on USB Link in Settings and the lock follows the key in your pocket. With the key plugged in, the desk knows you and stays open. Pull it out and the desk locks within about a second. Forgot the key? Type the Main and then the Backup password: the desk opens for 15 seconds with a NO USB! LOCKING IN countdown, so you have time to plug the key back in.

Everything in Settings

One menu for passwords, the USB key, the lock effect and the lock screen image. Each option is a simple tick box with a plain name.

Wrong-attempt protection

The title of the lock box counts every wrong password. After two free tries, each new mistake makes the next try wait longer, up to 30 seconds.

Your own lock screen image

Pick any Appearance from your show, like your logo or the tour artwork, and it fills every screen while the desk is locked.

Clean uninstall

Uninstall asks for the Main password and then the Backup password. Then it removes the guest account, the Sedat Lock macro and remote trigger, the watch sequence and the temporary lock objects, and your show is back to how it was before install.

• Choose the owner: install on your current user, or create a new Admin user in the same step.

Requirements

• grandMA3 software 2.x (built for 2.5), onPC or console
• Two plugin files (SedatLockSystem.xml and SedatLockSystem.lua), imported from the Plugins pool. In grandMA3 the plugin appears as SedatLockSystem
• A USB stick for your license, activated once on grandMA3 onPC for Windows (it can also be your lock key)
• Before updating, untick the plugin’s Lock box in the Plugins pool

License

KeyLink is licensed to a USB stick. After your purchase, e-mail capknsedat@gmail.com with the license name you want, your intended use and your AddOnDesk Order ID. Your license code (SLS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) arrives within 1 hour at the latest. Activate it once on grandMA3 onPC for Windows (online with Activate Online, or offline with a request file), then keep the stick plugged in on onPC or on your console.
