Description
Pos-Grid creates a full position layout grid for grandMA2 in minutes – built from the position presets you already have, so no more hours of wiring a position grid by yourself

What it does:
- Builds the grid from YOUR existing position presets – it creates none, changes none, and uninstall deletes none
- Creates a layout view for the grid
- Creates images for the layout view on setup
- Creates a grid with lots of features in it
Features:
- Tap a cell and that group flies to that position, crossfading instead of snapping
- Fade, delay and delay-direction live control to move the fixtures in style, with custom time slots you store once and recall with one press
- COLLECT – spread a SET of positions across one group’s fixtures, in the order you tap them, so eight movers can cover four positions two at a time
- FAN – spread a group around the position it is already sitting on. It fans RELATIVE to each fixture, so a unit hung backwards still spreads the right way, and it can fan the whole group end to end or in repeating blocks
- Linking groups – moving one group’s position can also move another’s, and fanning one fans the whole linked set
- +PROG and +GRID – store your programmer, or the whole look the grid is showing with its fan included, straight back into a position preset
- Icons drawer – give every position a symbol from a drawn library of beam patterns and stage targets, or have it draw itself from its own name, and rename presets with LABEL
Installation:
- Copy
pgrid.luaandpgrid.xmlto your grandMA2pluginsfolder (or USB stick undergma2/plugins) - Open a Plugin Pool window (Create Basic Window → System → Plugin)
- Right-click an empty slot → Import → select the source → choose pgrid
For Grandma2 version 3.9.63.6 and up
Setup:
Run pgrid from the plugin pool -> type 1 for Install -> it asks which position presets and in what order, then which fixture groups, then where each pool should go -> Okay on the summary -> wait for it to finish without touching anything (about 2 minutes) -> go to the layout it built
To update the grids groups or presets. run pgrid again -> type 2 for Update -> it asks only which positions and which groups and rebuilds in a few seconds, keeping your icon assignments and never touching the images
