Find and Replace – Macros

Description

Type in what to Find and what to Replace, the plugin will search and replace text in all macro lines of all targeted macros. Save time by letting the plugin change hundreds of macro lines in seconds.

Enter a single Macro by number or name,

Enter a range, e.g. 1 Thru 50,

Enter thru to target all Macros in the current DataPool,

Use selection operators like + and – (examples: 1 Thru 50 + 60 – 12),

Use wildcard names with * (example: color macro group *). Quoting is optional.

Ignore (Prefix/Postfix filter)
The Ignore field lets you protect values from being replaced when they are part of an allowed “context”.

Rules are exact (spaces matter).

Ignore Col1 will ignore Col1 only (it will still replace in Col 1),

Ignore Col 1 will ignore Col 1 only,

You can enter multiple ignore rules separated by commas , or semicolons ;

Handle safety
The plugin will never change internal handles inside macro command text, including:

#[ … ] handle bubbles

#<hex> handle strings

Press Please and review the change log in the command line history (Macro, Line number, and before/after Command text).

Compatibility and notes

• V.1.3 Release date 2 March 2026.

• Developed & tested on grandMA3 v2.3.2.0.
  
• Intended for grandMA3 consoles and onPC, v2.2+.
  
• Always prints a full change report so you can verify exactly what was touched.
  
• As with all show-critical tools: always back up your showfile before doing major changes.
